Services: Provide or coordinate prescription medication, diabetic supplies, dental, eye care/glasses and spiritual care. New Dental Hygiene Clinic: The first and only free dental clinic in Ottawa County. A two chair dental hygiene clinic recently opened and is scheduling bi-weekly cleaning, x-rays and education. The dental clinic is staffed 100% by volunteer hygienists and dental assistants. Patients needing additional care will be referred within our network of volunteer dentists. Other Care: Therapeutic massage, Pamper & Prayer (a monthly foot care clinic) provided by local parish nurses, coordination of physical therapy, coordination of cataract surgery. Additional specialty care addressed on a case by case basis. Legal aide provided by Attorney Roger Boer Who Is Eligible For Services: Those living at or below 200% of the federal poverty level with no health insurance, Medicaid, Medicare or Veterans coverage. Collaboration: Mobilization of local health providers is the key to the services we offer. More than 40 physicians writing prescriptions, 24 dentists providing free care, 10 eye doctors providing glasses. We will continue to recruit and organize providers willing to help in the effort of caring for the uninsured. |
